The nose offers intensity, a fine, powerful, frank and racy grain. It reveals notes of small black berries, spices and small notes of black cherry associated with touches of small crushed red fruits, vanilla, rosemary/sage, pepper as well as a hint of jammy black fruits and black olive. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers precision, juiciness, a nice straightness, tension, energy as well as a stretched side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe small red fruits, cherry and small notes of quite ripe raspberry associated with touches of star anise, cardamom, toasted notes, hints of chocolate, black olive and a subtle hint of dried almond. Tannins are well developed.
