Tenuta Meraviglia – Maestro di Cava 2019 – Bolgheri Superiore

The nose is spicy, frank, racy, and offers finesse, intensity as well as deepness. It reveals notes of concentrated blackberry, black pepper, and small notes of cornflowers combined with touches of creamy small fruits, a hint of roasted fruit, roasted notes as well as fine hints of lilac, a subtle hint of nutmeg and black olive. The palate is fruity, tangy, chiseled and offers energy as well as a certain delicacy/precision in its acidity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/tangy cassis, cherry, and small notes of violet combined with touches of juicy-roasted small red fruits as well as fine hints of racy minerality, toasted hazelnut, caramelization, and a toasted hint. Good length. Persistent and tangy.
