The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is intense, aromatic, gourmand and slightly sweet. It expresses notes of vanilla, even cinnamon, chocolate morello cherry and mint chocolate at the opening, which are then complemented by notes of crushed wild strawberry, ripe raspberry, raspberry coulis, blackberry and blackcurrant jam, as well as touches of liquorice, toasted coriander seeds, coffee, chocolate-toasted hazelnut, as well as a hint of candied orange (even orangettes) in the background. We find also a delicate limestone structure. The palate is tense, chiseled, even tight on the attack. It expresses tannic, tangy and bitter notes of bird cherry, combined with touches of blackcurrant, tangy red cherry, cranberries, herbs (peppermint, roasted bouquet garni), spices and a hint of roasting (toasted hazelnut, coffee, bitter cocoa). The finish is savory, quite persistent, fruity, with a lively and salivating acidity. The tannins are tight and gripping, but finely grained. Gourmandise on the nose and tension on the palate.
