The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers tension and distinct aromas of dried red fruits (dried red cherry, dried cranberries). After aeration, it expresses notes of crushed wild strawberry, ripe raspberry, juicy morello cherry, sweet black plum (even chocolate prunes in the background), as well as aromas of sweet fresh flowers (peony, iris), a touch of vanilla, dried liquorice, nutmeg and chocolate in the background. The palate is supple, silky on the attack, but fresh, tangy and straight at the same time. It initially expresses flavors of tangy red cherry, fresh raspberry, cranberries in the background, combined with notes of morello cherry, dark chocolate (even tangy cocoa nibs), liquorice, and a hint of nutmeg in the background. The mid-palate offers sweeter flavors of fresh wood, vanilla, iris and peony, while remaining fresh and tangy. Beautiful salivating acidity and a pleasant bitterness of cranberries and a herbaceous touch on the persistence. Tannins are fine and well constructed. Good length.
