Tenuta Il Quinto – Quinto 2021 – Toscana IGT

The nose is aromatic and reveals freshness, power and a fine, powerful grain. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, pulpy blackberry and, to a lesser extent, balsamic, combined with touches of concentrated red berries, black olive, oleander, fine spices and a very discreet touch of pepper and vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced, racy and offers freshness, minerality, a little unctuosity, juiciness, tension and a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy black cherry, violet plum and more lightly crushed wild berry fruit combined with hints of black olive, dark chocolate, mocha, olive/rosemary and fine points of oleander, vanilla and light tobacco. Good length. Some mellowness on the palate/persistence.
