Tenuta Il Quinto – Guardoalto 2021 – Toscana IGT

The nose is elegant and reveals crunchiness, depth, power and definition. There are notes of bright red berries, black olive and slightly blackcurrant, with hints of flowers, crushed strawberry and hints of local garrigue. The palate is fruity, racy and reveals juiciness, acidity, fine concentration, tension and clarity. On the palate this wine expresses bright wild blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy redcurrant and more lightly wild berry notes combined with hints of roasted thyme, toast, a subtle hint of toastiness, fine hints of garrigue/sense of place and an imperceptible hint of almost earthiness in the background. Good length. Lovely, elegant tannins.
