The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with very light garnet reflections. The nose offers complexity and elegance. We first find the aromas of ripe and concentrated fruits (even with a touch of dried fruit): fresh morello cherry, dried morello cherry, fresh black fig, cranberry, crushed raspberry and strawberry, associated with herbal notes of dried basil, oregano and thyme, as well as a touch of dried wild flowers and torrefaction (coffee, toast). There are also notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, cloves, ground cumin), dried black tea and cocoa in the background. On the palate, the wine expresses power of tannins, concentration and straightness. The flavors are complex, but a bit closed. We find notes of dried morello cherry, cranberry, wild plum, as well as touches of torrefaction(coffee, smoke), spices (clove, cumin), black tea, dried bay leaf, dried wild flowers, as well as a perceptible bitterness and a hint of bergamot. The finish is more round and expresses notes of Amarena cherry and dark chocolate, which with a salivating acidity balance the power and dry young tannins. The finish is persistent, with the bitterness of bergamot. A wine that needs time to open up.
