The wine has a pale ruby color, with garnet reflections. On the nose, the wine is reserved and requires aeration. It then expresses aromas of roasted red cherry, dried morello cherry, fresh red cherry, raspberry jam, as well as a hint of dried cranberries in the background. We also find delicate tertiary notes (wet leaves, a hint of mushrooms and leather, faded rose, dried peony, tobacco), a fine spiciness (licorice, white pepper, a touch of dried vanilla and nutmeg), as well as notes of torrefaction (coffee, toasted almond, toasted wood). On the palate, the wine is tasty and more expressive. We find notes of roasted red cherry, chocolate morello cherry, black plum (with a touch of prunes), blackcurrant and raspberry jam, associated with enveloped tertiary notes (tobacco, damp leaves, leather, wilted rose), spicy notes and hints of torrefaction (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg, toasted almond, coffee, toasted wood in the background). There is also a herbaceous hint of roasted thyme, rosemary and dry pine needles. The tannins have a velvety and fine texture, but a firm structure. The finish is savoury, chocolatey and cocoa, with good bitterness and salivating acidity. A structured and refined wine.
