The wine shows a pale ruby colour with a brightening rim. The nose is dense, woody and herbal with notes of cinnamon, cloves, a touch of cigar box and smoke. The palate shows a lot of concentration and power with elevated alcohol and grippy but refined tannins. The palate seems muted and dominated by alcohol, all the fruity flavours are in the background. The finish is woody and warming.
