The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose is fragrant and complex: it offers a tangy and lively frame, fresh fruit, as well as enveloped spicy and tertiary notes. We find the aromas of crushed strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrant, dried red cherry, dried cranberries, associated with notes of undergrowth (in the background), dried tobacco, dried peppermint, dark chocolate, cocoa, dried rose, fresh iris, as well as touches of liquorice, nutmeg, balsamic cream and fresh basil in the background. On the palate, the attack is refined and silky, enveloping and savoury. It expresses notes of ripe fresh fruit (morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, wild strawberry, raspberry, cranberries, red cherry), enveloped herbaceous hints (dried mint, dried basil, rosemary), floral notes (dried rose, iris), sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg), as well as integrated tertiary touches (tobacco, cedar, undergrowth). The finish is persistent and offers good bitterness, a balsamic hint, salivating acidity and a firm, but silky tannique structure.
