The wine has a pale ruby color, with slight garnet highlights. On the nose, it is reserved and benefits from aeration. It initially expresses tertiary notes of undergrowth, wet leaves and dried rose, which are then complemented by fruity aromas of crushed strawberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, fresh red cherry, crushed raspberry, as well as dried blackcurrant, sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, cumin), coffee, toasted almond and toasted wood, as well as a hint of brewed Earl Grey tea. The palate offers a fruity and juicy attack, with flavors of fresh fruits (raspberry, morello cherry, red cherry, red currant, blackcurrant), a herbaceous hint of Earl Grey tea and wild mint, as well as a delicate spiciness (liquorice, cardamom, nutmeg), a floral touch of dried rose and roasting (coffee, toasted almond, toasted wood). The tannins are fine and melted. Good persistence in the mouth with a salivating acidity and a good bitterness of cranberries, coffee and bergamot, associated with a toasted hint.
