The wine shows a pale ruby colour with garnet reflections. The nose is dense, heady, concentrated, offering notes of roasted herbs, grilled meat, rosemary, thyme, a hint of eucalyptus. The palate shows some finesse and freshness, with elevated acidity and relatively fine (even diluted) structure. The tannins are present but well-polished. The wine reveals notes of dried cherries, cherry compote and a touch of macchia and withered herbs. The finish is slightly drying, herbal.
