Tenuta Carretta, Bricco Manera 2021 – Nizza

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose offers toasted aromas of heated wood, coffee, toasted hazelnut (with a sweet hint of caramel, even coconut in the background), dark chocolate, but wrapped and without excess. We also find a gourmet spicy side (vanilla, liquorice, ground cumin). The fruits on the nose are ripe and juicy: we find aromas of crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry and blackberry, associated with a hint of menthol. The palate is straight, chiseled, with fine tannins, but grippy and slightly bitter on the attack. It also expresses flavors of tangy black fruits (blackcurrant, a tannic touch of bird cherry, morello cherry, blueberry), associated with notes of red cherry, crushed raspberry, as well as more discreet toasted notes than on the nose (coffee, toasted hazelnut, bitter cocoa), herbaceous touches (dried mint, bay leaf) and spicy (liquorice, white pepper). Beautiful refreshing acidity and a fruity and savoury finish.Good tannic structure.
