It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, ripe red cherry, morello cherry in chocolate, blackberry, wild raspberry and red plum, combined with notes of dried mint, fresh tobacco, black tea, spices (liquorice, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom), as well as undergrowth in the background, cocoa, peony and dried rose. The palate is savory, and expresses tertiary notes on the attack (undergrowth, dried tobacco), combined with spices (licorice, nutmeg, crushed cardamom, a hint of vanilla), fruits (fresh red cherry, dried red cherry, raspberry, crunchy strawberry, blackberry), as well as dried peppermint and roasted notes (cocoa, coffee, toasted almond) and a hint of limestone mineral in the background. The tannins are fine-grained, solid and structured, with a gripping attack. Good persistence on the palate with the freshness of tangy fruits, tertiary touches, a good coffee bitterness, and a mouth-watering acidity.
