The nose is aromatic, deep, spicy/peppery and complex. There are beautiful notes of blueberry, roasted cherry and small notes of crushed blackberry combined with hints of tobacco. The palate is elegant, gourmand, supple, suave, nicely mineral, well-balanced and offers freshness, concentration, roundness, a beautiful finesse of grain, deepness as well as purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blueberry, crushed cherry and small notes of dried fig associated with a subtle touch almost of dried apricot, tobacco as well as a hint of clove and grilled/toasted almond. Tannins are supple and elegant. Good length. A nice evolution in the glass as the tasting progresses.
