Tasca – Rosso del Conte 2016 – Sicilia IGT

The nose is elegant, complex and offers precision, delicacy, deepness and a little unctuosity (but without heaviness). It reveals notes of boysenberry, pulpy strawberry and small notes of blueberry associated with touches of violet, Bourbon vanilla as well as hints of oleander, local grove, discreet hints of pepper, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of bergamot and sense of the place. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, deepness, freshness, minerality, a mineral frame, elegance as well as delicacy and finesse in its definition. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy boysenberry, bright cassis and small notes of blueberry associated with touches of pulpy/tangy raspberry as well as hints of crushed redcurrant, chocolate/cocoa, black olive and fine hints of tobacco, toasted hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of sense of the place/olive/sage. Tannins are precise, finely structuring and mellow. A beautiful aromatic persistence. A beautiful and delicious wine, congratulations !
