The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity, slightly roasted, toasted and spicy. It expresses the aromas of morello cherry, roasted red cherry, red plum, red currants, associated with notes of roasted aromatic herbs (roasted thyme and rosemary), sweet spices (liquorice, ground clove, cumin, fennel seeds), coffee, toasted hazelnuts and dark chocolate. We also find a floral touch of dried rose and peony, as well as a hint of granite in the background. The palate is juicy, enveloping, tangy, straight and tannic (but not astringent). It expresses the flavors of tart red cherry, cranberries in the background, red currants, morello cherry and red plum, combined with notes of dried black plum in the background, smoke, toasted almond, chocolate with a hint of tobacco, aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary, bay leaf and dried mint), as well as sweet spices (nutmeg, cloves, a hint of liquorice) and flowers (peony, dried rose). Beautiful salivating acidity, a very slight bitterness and gourmet notes of cocoa on the persistence. A delicate and airy wine.
