Stéphane Brocard 2020 – Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits

Stéphane Brocard 2020 – Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits

(Organic) The nose is fruity, elegantly aromatic, with depth of freshness and a lovely purity and pulpiness of fruit. There are notes of juicy blackberry, crushed plum and more slightly pulpy cherry combined with hints of toast, nutmeg as well as a fine, almost vanilla touch and a discreet floral note in the background. The palate is fruity with freshness and minerality. There is a nice definition, tension and accuracy. There is a purity of fruit with notes of pulpy, juicy cherries, violets and a hint of juicy plum combined with touches of blueberry, cherry blossom and a hint of bright red berries, chocolate and almond. There is a subtle hint of rose in the background and fresh vanilla. The tannins are elegant and polished and there is good length. This is a lovely, gourmet wine!
