Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars – Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Cask 23 – Napa Valley 

The nose is aromatic, elegant and fine. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet / flowers and small notes of ripe raspberry associated with touches of blueberry, Cuben pepper, spices as well as slight toasted hints and a very discreet hint of caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a good definition, a fine juicy / mineral frame, a slight minerality, a beautiful guideline, roundness, suavity, delicacy, a beautiful finesse as well as a beautiful definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fleshy / crushed cassis, wild raspberry and small notes of wild strawberry associated with small touches of blueberry, chocolate, caramelized oak, vanilla as well as very slight touches of almond. Tannins are fine and slightly chewy. Good length.
