The wine has a very pale, brilliant ruby color. The nose is chiseled, finely tightened, and combines toasted and mineral aromas at the opening. It expresses notes of heated wood, toasted hazelnut, smoke and coffee in the background, dry stone and tar. The fruit is juicy, gourmand and slightly sweet: we find notes of crushed strawberry, morello cherry, dried red cherry, dried raspberry, as well as slightly sweet wild mint, liquorice, a hint of vanilla and chocolate blueberry, as well as blood orange. The palate offers delicate herbal notes on the attack (hay, dried mint, dried bouquet garni, dried wild mint), combined with fruity flavors (dried red cherry, fresh red cherry, raspberry, tangy strawberry and dried cranberries). There are also spicy touches (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), delicate roasted notes in the background (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood), as well as the good bitterness of grapefruit and bergamot. Tannins are finely tight, well-built, structured, but not dry. The finish is persistent, with a tangy frame of red cherry and menthol and a salivating acidity.
