Socré Pajoré 2019 – Barbaresco

Socré Pajoré 2019 – Barbaresco

The wine has a pale ruby color with slight garnet reflections. The nose is aromatic, concentrated and gourmand (even slightly sweet), subtly spicy. It expresses the aromas of wild strawberries, crushed raspberries, roasted red cherries (or even dried red cherries), a touch of morello cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, combined with notes of sweet spices (licorice, ground cumin, white pepper, nutmeg), herbaceous touches (fresh tobacco, peppermint, dried wild herbs), a delicate minerality (graphite), as well as a floral hint of dried rose and a resinous touch of dried pine needles , associated with a very slight note of coffee in the background. The palate is enveloping and gourmand, with melted and velvety tannins, beautiful acidity and a persistent and sapid finish. We find the flavors of wild strawberry, red cherry (with a hint of dried cherry), crushed raspberry, dried raspberry, a hint of wild blackberry and cranberries, associated with herbaceous and resinous notes (fresh tobacco, needles of dried pine), a fine spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, ground cumin), with a touch of dried rose and coffee in the background. The finish offers sapidity and adds a subtle bitterness and a hint of dried blackcurrant. A gourmand and well-constructed wine.
