The wine has a bright, pale ruby color. The nose is expressive and offers liveliness, tanginess and tension. It expresses the aromas of fresh bigarreau cherry, raspberry, red currant, a touch of roasted red cherry and dried cranberries, a hint of blueberry, as well as elegant floral scents (dried cornflower, dried rose, lily) and a spicy hint (white pepper, cumin). The palate is chiseled, tense and precise, with firm and slightly bitter tannins. It expresses notes of fresh and dried red cherry, red currant, dried cranberries, fresh and dried raspberry, blueberry, combined with a hint of pepper (white pepper), herbaceous (cut rose stem, dried aromatic herbs in background) and floral (dried rose) notes. The tannins have a fine grain, but are firm and grippy on the finish. The finish is quite persistent, with good bitterness and salivating acidity. A tense and firm wine.
