The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved, refined, slightly herbaceous and mineral. It expresses notes of tangy red fruits (red cherry, cranberries, strawberry, fresh raspberry, a touch of red currant and blueberry and a slight side of roasted red cherry), combined with notes of fresh rosemary, dried bay leaf, wild mint, fresh rose and violet, as well as spicy notes (nutmeg, liquorice, cardamom), toasted hazelnut and dry gravel in the background. On the palate, the wine offers suppleness and straightness, a slight herbaceous touch and bitterness in the mid-palate, fine tannins and lively acidity. It expresses the flavors of red cherry, cranberries, raspberry, strawberry, red currant, dried cherry and dried raspberry in the background. We also find notes of dried thyme, dried bay leaf, dried wild mint, liquorice and cardamom, combined with a hint of bitter almond and bergamot. The finish is savoury, lingering and adds flavors of bitter chocolate and coffee. A gourmand, straight wine, with a fairly pronounced, but envelopped, bitterness.
