The nose is spicy and offers a certain power, control, and fine intensity. It reveals notes of bright violet plum, bright Bigarreau cherry and small notes of wild blackcurrant combined with fine hints of green pepper, dry local grove, as well as a discreet hint of juniper berries, black pepper, and a discreet hint of roasted thyme. The palate is beautifully structured, well-balanced and offers fruit, juiciness, suavity, a mineral structure, energy as well as a subtle straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackcurrant, creamy cherry, and elegant-roasted small fruits combined with subtle hints of sage, a sense of place (local biotope), a hint of fresh tobacco, almost pine nut, and cocoa nibs. Good length. A nice and delicate varietal character in the background/ as a guideline. Freshness, juiciness, and creaminess.
