Seven Springs, Evening Land – Chardonnay 2017 – Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley

The nose is slightly tight and offers power, intensity and a fine grain. It reveals notes of yellow apple, small fruits and small notes of butter associated with fine touches of small yellow fruits as well as a subtle hint of brioche (in the background). The mouth is fruity, elegant and offers a small gourmandize, a small freshness, finesse as well as tension, a fine grain and an acidulous frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/acidulous yellow apple, small yellow fruit associated with fine touches of kumquat as well as a hint of lemon, lemon flowers and very discreet varietal hints/pine nut. Good length and persistence.
