The nose is fruity, elegant, relatively powerful and offers a nice finesse. It reveals notes of blackberry jam, cassis and slight notes of small wild berries, crushed raspberry combined with discreet hints of black olive, a hint of toasted wood, discreet hints of spices as well as an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper and cardamon. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, silky, relatively straight and offers a nice elegance, tension and a fine juiciness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry and plum associated with slight notes of cassis, strawberry as well as discreet hints of black olive, crushed strawberry, redcurrants, licorice and toasted hints. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and persistence.
