The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of rosemary/aromatic herbs, candied strawberry and blackcurrant liqueur associated with touches of fig, hints of pepper as well as discreet hints of dried zest and a subtle hint of dry grove. The palate is nicely built, supple, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a tangy frame. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of blackcurrant liqueur, kirsch cherry and small notes of candied blackberry associated with touches of rosemary, sense of place (local biotope), hints of pepper, star anise, fine hints of chocolate, toast, coffee, crushed small fruits as well as a subtle almost mentholated hint, toasted oak and Bourbon vanilla. Good length. A nicely fresh, gourmand and supple Porto.
