The nose has a lovely fresh and powerful grain as well as intensity. There are notes of pulpy crushed blackcurrant, violet plum and small notes of small crushed red fruits associated with touches of fresh pepper, fresh spices and small notes of cornflower, violet, hints of liquorice, chocolate as well as a fine hint of fresh spices, sap or even varietal in the background. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, precision, a tangy structure as well as tension. We find notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and slight notes of chocolate associated with touches of racy minerality, tea, fresh bergamot as well as a subtle hint of fresh sage in the background. There is a lovely freshness and depth as well as delicacy in the density and intensity. The tannins are elegant and offer a certain softness. There is a fine powdery side to the lingering finish.
