Sassodisole, Sasso di Luna 2023 – Rosso di Montalcino

The nose is aromatic, open, gourmand, juicy and very fruity. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, cherry jam, juicy morello cherry, crushed raspberry, redcurrant jelly, associated with a fragrant floral bouquet (iris, peony, rose), as well as a fine and elegant spiciness (licorice, sweet pepper), complemented by a touch of dark chocolate. The palate is juicy, supple, round and gourmand. It expresses the flavors of ripe fruits (wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, cherry jam, morello cherry), associated with notes of chocolate and crushed mint on the persistence. A pleasant and enveloping wine, with a hint of roasted herbs in the background.
