Sarget de Gruaud Larose 2023 – Saint-Julien

A lovely fruity, fresh nose, which offers intensity in depth, a certain slight darkness/depth, elegance and softness, a fine creaminess. It expresses notes of pulpy strawberry, small pulpy/bright red fruits and more lightly – dense/juicy blackcurrant associated with touches of cornflower, black tea/infusion as well as fine hints of racy gravel, fresh spices and tobacco. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, mineral and offers a tangy frame, accuracy, tension, minerality, a lovely velvety grain, fresh, precise, gourmet, a lovely definition/precision, an airy and stretched side in the little richness. It expresses notes of violet, juicy-roasted strawberry, raspberry and more lightly – small pulpy/juicy blue fruits, associated with touches of graphite, small roasted-fresh red fruits as well as hints of small pulpy fruits, mocha, toasted blueberry, fresh blond tobacco and a subtle hint of smoke and salinity. Good length, the tannins offer a little softness and sapidity, a subtle hint of good bitterness on the finish/persistence.
