Sarget de Gruaud Larose 2022 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, fresh, with concentration and depth, sappy, peppery, with sweet spices, a depth of delicacy, elegant, precise, racy, with a fine sappy side. It reveals notes of pulpy/fresh cherry, violet and small notes of sweet spices, cardamom, small roasted-elegant fruits, almost balsamic notes, beautiful purity and chocolate. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, chiselled, racy, with a tangy frame, tension, precision, suppleness, airy, acidulous, with beautiful energy and purity and a crystalline side. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, roasted-elegant cherry, juicy/blackberry cassis and small notes of small roasted-elegant fruits, associated with touches of bigarreau cherry, as well as hint of plum and fine hints of violet, vanilla, racy gravel and a subtle hint sappy, almost cypore in the background. Good length. Tannins are racy and cocoa. A hint of roasting and elegance. Notes of fresh/menthol sap on the persistence that revives/make longer the finish.
