The wine offers a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration, a warm and ripe fruitiness. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, raspberry coulis, crushed blueberry, red currant jelly, as well as a touch of mint, liquorice, ground cumin, thyme and dried basil, dried rose petals and balsamic. On the palate, there is precision, fruity substance, a firm tannin structure, but balanced by a salivating acidity. We find the flavors of dried morello cherry, roasted red cherry, cranberries, raspberry coulis, red currant, as well as dried basil, dried rose petals, ground cumin, licorice (in the background), a subtle minerality and a touch of black pepper, smoke and roast. The finish expresses firmness and a certain astringency of tannins, associated with lively acidity and good fruity substance.
