The nose is well-built and offers power as well as structure. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, wild berry and small notes of plum associated with discreet hints of crushed red cherry, Zan as well as a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, frank and offers elegance, a small tension, a beautiful finesse, delicacy, gourmandise, precision as well as a slight straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, blackberry and small notes of crushed cassis associated with slight touches of jammy red berry, Zan, chocolate, caramelization as well as a very discreet hint of fresh almond, toasted and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and slightly tight. Very slight chews on the finish.
