San Salvatore 1988 – Pino di Stio 2020 – Paestum IGP

A nice fruity nose, which offers intensity, a nice definition, and some concentration. It expresses notes of black plum, violet and small notes of small crushed blue fruits, associated with touches of fairly ripe blackcurrant, fine hints of fairly ripe wild strawberry, a hint of roasted fruit, as well as delicate hints of local garrigue (wild fennel, sage, rosemary…), as well as a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, gourmandize, elegance, a nice definition, a tangy frame, a very beautiful purity, precision, delicacy and aerial side. It expresses the notes of pulpy/juicy purple plum, violet, bright cassis and small notes of roasted cherry, associated with touches of lily, small roasted red berries, as well as fine hints of a sense of place, salinity and a hint of good bitterness and chocolate in the background. the tannins are polished and elegant. A nice finesse, freshness and delicacy in its fattiness. A very nice mouthfeel.
