San Bruzio 2023, Vermentino Superiore, Maremma Toscana DOC

The nose is fruity, fresh, aromatic and offers elegance, a certain depth, a racy side, as well as a pretty structure. It reveals notes of kumquat, fresh mirabelle plum and small notes of quince, associated with fine touches of dried pineapple, discreet hints of almost rosemary, as well as a discreet hint of dried citrus and a subtle hint of almost beeswax. The palate is well-built, nicely sapid and offers gourmandise, precision, a tangy frame, good definition, a certain precision, roundness, a certain fatness, a certain unctuousness in finesse/accuracy, as well as an airy side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of kumquat, mirabelle plum and small notes of small, fairly ripe yellow apple, combined with fine hints of citrus fruit, zest, flowers, as well as a hint of basil, rosemary and iodine. A subtle, almost tannic hint (both aromatic and structure) on the finish/persistence. Good length. Nice freshness and a iodized side. A nice play on good bitters.
