S. Leonardo – Very Old White Porto

The nose is fruity, aromatic, elegant, complex and offers power, gourmandise, subtility as well as richness. It reveals notes of dry fruits, muesli, honey, date and slight touches of dried fig associated with a discreet hint of dried lemon/apricot as well as a hint of caramel and hazelnut. The palate is fruity, delicate, aromatic, subtle and offers gourmandise, a slight acid frame, a beautiful richness as well as a silky and slightly unctuous matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of honey, date, dried apricot and candied lemon associated with slight notes of dry fruits, dried fig, candied mandarin, hazelnut, a woody note as well as a discreet/subtle hint of chocolate on the finish. The persistence is gourmande and suave. A very beautiful Porto!
