S de Siran 2023 – Margaux

The nose is fruity, fresh, gourmand and offers a certain depth, creaminess as well as a peppery side. It reveals notes of blackberry, bright wild blackcurrant and more slightly small bright/pulpy red berries associated with fine hints of pepper and discreet hints of toast. The palate is nicely mineral, fruity, and offers freshness, tension, accuracy, a tangy frame, good definition. It expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant and more slightly – small bright red fruits, associated with touches of cornflower, star anise and fresh nutmeg, toast, toasted-fresh hazelnut, as well as fine hints of sweet spices. A fine chewiness in the background/persistence, a discreet salinity, good work on the good cocoa bitterness.
