The wine has a pale, bright lemon color. The first nose is intense with toasted, buttery notes. It’s round and captivating. The second nose opens with still very toasted, almost sooty notes. There’s a lovely floral note with honeysuckle. We also perceive hints of fruit like roasted lemon and yellow peach. The palate is fresh, intense with notes of toast and almost zan on the attack. There are also fine hints of pine sap. We find lemon and yellow peach. The tasting is very focused on the aging, which even brings a slight bitterness at the end. The wine is young, very taken by the wood: it needs time to find its balance. There is a beautiful salivating, almost saline acidity until the finish. The end of the tasting is long, on toast, pineapple, and browned butter.
