Roccolo del Lago 2019 – Bardolino Classico

The nose offers a fine power. It reveals notes of crushed raspberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of violet associated with small touches of crushed wild blackberry, fine hints of sweet spices, nutmeg as well as very discreet hints of cardamom, black olive, gray pepper and a subtle hint of saffron (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, tense and offers a slightly tight grain, a beautiful juiciness, an acidulous frame, a fine fat as well as a certain aromatic purity. In the mouth, this wine expresses notes of fleshy / pulpy cherry, pulpy / fleshy red berries and small notes of cassis bud associated with a fine touch of cherry blossoms, a sense of place as well as very discreet hints of cardamom, sweet spices, a very discreet hint of dark chocolate / mocha and an imperceptible hint of laurel berries (in the background). Tannins are very discreetly firm. Good length.
