The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity (even deep). The nose offers intensity of aromas, concentration, fine spiciness and ripe fruitiness. It expresses notes of cocoa powder, liquorice, ground cloves, grated nutmeg, white pepper, associated with notes of cherry morello cherry, black plum (even prunes in alcohol), cream of blackcurrant, blackberry liqueur, wild blackberry and mountain ash, combined with sweet notes of peony and iris, as well as a touch of torrefaction (coffee, toasted almond), fresh tobacco, peppermint and rosemary. The palate is juicy, full, quite rich, even with a hint of alcohol (which reflects the aromas of fruit liqueurs on the nose). It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, roasted red cherry, kirsch morello cherry, macerated prunes, crushed blackcurrant, crème de cassis, crushed wild strawberry and raspberry jam, combined with touches of dark chocolate, ground coffee, liquorice, balsamic, ground nutmeg, peppermint and rosemary, as well as dried rose and peony. The tannins are well structured, firm, but velvety. Good length and salivating acidity which balances the alcohol level of the wine.
