The wine shows a vibrant and vivid ruby purple colour with a brightening rim. The nose is slightly restrained and shy, needs aeration to open up. It reveals nuances of crunchy red and black cherries, some red plum, a touch of iron and dark minerality. The palate is tight, offering refreshing acidity, nice juiciness, grippy but well-managed tannins. The palate mirrors the nose with notes of crunchy red and black and pungent spices like black pepper and a hint of tobacco. Earthy finish.
