The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved and requires ventilation. It then expresses a discreet, but precise mineral framework (limestone, slightly saline), delicate herbaceous notes (peppermint, rose leaf, a hint of tobacco), floral bouquet (rose, lilac, a touch of violet), and delicate touches of sweet spices (liquorice, cloves), envelopped in a juicy fruitiness (wild strawberry, raspberry, red currant, a hint of morello cherry and red plum). The palate is gourmand, with a fruity and juicy attack and a bit drying tannins in the finish. It expresses the flavors of red cherry, crunchy strawberry, tangy raspberry, red plum, associated with notes of rose, lilac, peppermint, sweet spices (liquorice, clove), as well as a fine chocolatey and toasted hint. The finish is persistent, sapid (with spicy and chocolate notes) and offers a tight tannin structure, lively acidity and good bitterness. A powerful and gourmand wine with a firm structure.
