The nose is beautifully defined and offers a certain richness, complexity, a beautiful elegance as well as power (full of finesse). It reveals notes of bigarreau cherry, black plum and small notes of wild raspberry associated with small ripe/crushed red berries, wild blackberry, violet, Sichuan pepper as well as very discreet hints of zan and balsamic/tobacco. The palate is juicy, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful acidulous frame, a beautiful definition, as well as tension/energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous plum, juicy/acidulous cherry and more slightly blackberry associated with small touches of crunchy/acidulous wild raspberry, discreet hints of juicy/acidulous red berries, violet/rose, a hint of balsamic as well as a very discreet hint of toasted, mild tobacco and caramelized oak. Tannins are fine, elegant and racy. Very fine chew on the finish. There is a very discreet hint of fresh hazelnut on the persistence.
