The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity, with slight garnet reflections. The nose is delicate, but fragrant and savoury. The first nose expresses notes of dried herbs (dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried basil, dried mint, a touch of hay), dried flowers (wildflowers, dried rose, dried peony, lily), sweet spices (liquorice, a touch of cinnamon, ground cloves, white pepper) and fruits (morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, dried raspberry, crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, cranberries, elderberry, red currant). The palate is savoury, gourmand and expressive, less evolved than the nose. There is a ripe fruitiness, even a bit sweet and jammy in its notes of wild strawberry, red cherry jam, crushed morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, raspberry coulis, blackberry and black plum. We also find a slight hint of prunes in chocolate and kirsched cherry in chocolate, as well as a lot of freshness, thanks to herbaceous hints (wild mint, basil, bay leaf, thyme), floral notes (rose, violet, peony) and a lot of gourmandise in its spiciness (a hint of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and liquorice). The tannins are fine, powdery and enveloped, with a beautiful structure. The finish is persistent and sapid, with lovely freshness and salivating acidity. A gourmand and harmonious wine.
