Richard Jambon, Domaine de La Paillardière 2022 – Brouilly

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, fruity, and expresses a slight sweetness of jam. We find in particular the aromas of morello cherry, amarena cherry, black plum, red plum jam, crushed wild strawberry and dried blackcurrant. On the second nose, a fragrant floral bouquet appears – notes of dried rose, cherry blossom, peony, combined with herbaceous touches (dried peppermint, thyme) and white pepper. The palate is chiseled and juicy. It offers liveliness, a pronounced tanginess, as well as good bitterness and a refreshing herbaceous hint on the finish. It expresses notes of morello cherry, tangy bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberries, crunchy strawberry, as well as a pronounced peppery touch (black pepper) which persists on the finish, notes of peppermint, fresh thyme, dried rose and peony. The tannins are structured, tight and grippy, but enveloped in a juicy fruit. Beautiful persistence in the mouth, slightly chocolatey.
