Reverdy-Cadet, Mam Zelle KD Silex 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is distinguished, mineral and expresses calcareous, even chalky, as well as smoky (gunflint) notes, associated with a fragrant floral bouquet, which is revealed in the second nose (apple blossom, acacia, honeysuckle). We also find gourmand aromas of candied lemon peel, orange zest, ripe lemon, white peach and apricot, combined with notes of passion fruit in the background. The palate offers lightness, an airiness and tanginess of green fruits (green apple, green plum) and citrus fruits (ripe lemon, candied lemon peel, a touch of grapefruit juice). We also find a good bitterness and a chiseled hint of lime, floral scents (apple blossom, acacia), as well as a limestone and smoky mineral hint in the background. The finish is moderately persistent, tangy and lively, with a salivating acidity.
