The wine has a bright, deep ruby color. The nose is dense, textured and expresses a nice concentration of fruit (ripe, jammy and dried). We find notes of juicy morello cherry, dried red cherry, fresh wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and black plum, associated with herbaceous aromas (fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, bay leaf), flowers (violet, dried rose, lily, dried wild flowers), sweet spices (cumin, liquorice, a hint of anise), dark chocolate, coffee, as well as a hint of balsamic and a fine minerality (graphite) in the background. The palate offers juiciness, precision and a beautiful expression of fruit (morello cherry, black plum, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry), complemented by a savoury spiciness (liquorice, ground cumin, white pepper), a herbaceous touch ( dried rosemary, dried thyme), a hint of dried wild flowers and torrefaction (coffee, toasted almond). The tannins are fine and powdery, ample in the mouth. The acidity is lively and salivating. The finish is persistent and adds a good bitterness and notes of balsamic and bird cherry to the bouquet of flavors. Beautiful freshness and concentration, all in balance.
