The nose is fruity, ripe, slightly tight and offers complexity as well as a fine gourmandize. It reveals notes of juicy boysenberry, cassis and more slightly blueberry, red fruits (wild strawberry, crushed raspberry…) associated with subtle hints of tonka bean, a very discreet hint of menthol/eucalyptus, a subtle hint of gray pepper as well as an imperceptible hint of wild flowers and cedar. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, racy, well-defined and offers a beautiful fullness, a beautiful finesse/grain as well as a beautiful precise material, slightly creamy and slightly silky. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, blackberry and redcurrant associated with small/fine touches of liquorice stick, cedar, bergamot, vanilla, toasted as well as subtle hint of bitter dark chocolate on the finish (give gourmandize as well as appetence). Tannins are fine and elegant. Good aromatic length on fruit (blackberry, black cherry and crushed redcurrant).
