Ravaut Pierre – Vieilles Vignes 2018 – Aloxe-Corton

The nose is fruity and offers a fine power, a beautiful finesse of the grain, definition, intensity as well as deepness. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crunchy strawberry, small notes of small ripe red fruits associated with touches of sweet spices, violet, juicy/crunchy violet plum associated with touches of small fresh flowers, zan, very fine hints of black tea and a racy minerality/terroir. The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmand, beautifully defined, beautifully aery and offers gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, juiciness as well as a beautifully delicacy/melody and a fine/finely tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy cassis, creamy blackberry, small notes of small juicy/ripe red fruits associated with a hint of blueberry, cornflower, lily, tonka bean as well as subtle hints of fresh mild tobacco. Subtle hints of chocolate on the finish/persistence. Tannins are elegant, fine and supple. A beautiful length and persistence. A beautiful wine full of finesse, harmony and delicacy.
