Raoul Gautherin & Fils Chablis Grand Cru « Grenouilles» 2022 – Chablis Grand Cru

Raoul Gautherin & Fils Chablis Grand Cru « Grenouilles» 2022 – Chablis Grand Cru

The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is reserved and requires aeration. Then, it expresses notes of candied lemon, ripe yellow peach, juicy apricot, lime in the background, a light tangy touch of green apple and fresh pineapple. We also find floral aromas of fresh lime, lily, chamomile, a touch of acacia honey, pollen, as well as delicate spicy and woody notes (fresh hazelnut, toasted hazelnut, a hint of vanilla and yogurt, vanilla, crushed coriander seeds, cumin seeds), as well as dried white tea, a hint of hay and a limestone mineral touch. The palate is oily, with a round attack and a generous and sapid mid-palate. It first expresses notes of ripe stone fruits (yellow peach, apricot, yellow plum), associated with flavors of honey, infusion, dried lime, chamomile and acacia, which are then completed by notes of fresh wood, toasted hazelnut, vanilla yogurt, coriander seed and nutmeg. We also find the delicious and tangy notes of candied lemon, lime jam, candied green apple and fresh pineapple. The finish is tasty, long, generous, but quite fresh. The wine leaves notes of candied apricot with thyme, a delicate bitterness and a slight woody note on the palate.
